Ølav — AI Assistant

Ølav is the built-in AI assistant in Pachurros. It knows the context of whatever you’re working on and helps not only with writing and summarizing, but also changes content on request — always as a suggestion you preview and confirm first.

The principle: Suggest → Preview → Apply

Ølav never writes into your workspace unprompted. When you want a change, it prepares a suggestion. You see exactly what would happen in a preview — “+5 rows”, “2 values changed”, a before/after for text — and decide:

• Apply — the change is made.
• Discard — nothing happens.
• Retry — Ølav prepares a new suggestion.

Only clicking Apply writes anything. Every change can be undone via the version history of the object.

Note

Ølav can add and change, but not delete content — by design. Remove what you no longer need yourself.

What Ølav can do

Tables

• Add rows — “add 5 detail shots to the shot list”
• Change values — “set the status of all open tasks to done”
• Add a column — “add a priority column with high/medium/low”
• Create a new table — “create a shot list with subject, location and status”

Pages

• Append paragraphs — “turn these bullet points into a briefing”
• Rewrite text — shorten, expand, or make a paragraph more formal
• Replace a selection — only the highlighted passage; the rest stays untouched
• Create a new page — with a title and first content
• Summarize — the page content as bullet points (writes nothing)

More than plain text

Ølav builds the right block instead of writing everything as paragraphs: a callout with its kind (hint, warning, done, idea), a metric on a named table, an embedded table view, a small table block with a header row, a collapsible with title and content, a location with address — plus quote with source, code with language, LaTeX formula, divider styles, table of contents, link and embed.

Note

Ølav cannot create media — image, audio, gallery and document need a file, and he can’t upload one. He’ll tell you to add it yourself.

He refers to tables by name. If he doesn’t know a table, he asks instead of inventing one — a metric without a table would stay empty.

Moodboards

• Add sticky notes — “add 3 ideas” (appear in colour, centred in view)
• Create a new moodboard — optionally with notes right away

Sessions

• Plan a session — “plan a portrait shoot on Friday in Zurich with a packing list”; sets date, location, type and a checklist
• Add checklist items — to the packing list of an open session

Tasks

• Extract tasks — pulls the open to-dos from a page into My Tasks

How to use Ølav

The chat

Open Ølav via the icon in the bottom-right corner (appears when you move to the corner) or with ⌘ . (or Ctrl .). Describe what you need — Ølav includes the currently open object automatically and follows you as you switch between table, board and page.

Quick actions in the panel

When a page or board is open, Ølav shows relevant quick actions at the top of the panel:

• Summarize — bullet points on the current content
• Extract tasks (pages) — to-dos into “My Tasks”

Inline in text (copy-editing)

Select text on a page → Ø appears in the floating toolbar:

• Rewrite, Shorten, Expand — edit only the wording and replace the passage directly (inserted unformatted).
• Ask about this — opens the chat with the selected text as reference; you just type your question.

Context

Ølav sees:

• The content of the currently open object (page, board, table, session)
• A workspace overview (projects, pages, boards, tables, sessions) — so it can refer to objects by name

If Ølav doesn’t recognise a name you mention, it asks rather than guessing — so a change never lands in the wrong table.

Conversation history

Ølav remembers the context of the ongoing conversation. Use Clear history (trash icon) to start fresh.

Tips for better results

Be specific:

“Add 5 detail shots to the shot list for a fashion shoot in an industrial loft”

is better than “add a few rows”.

Name the object when it isn’t open:

“Add three mood notes to the board ‘Autumn Shoot’”

Follow up:

• “Make it shorter”
• “Add a column for the deadline”

Daily limit

The number of AI requests per day depends on your plan (currently Free: 10, Pro: 50) and protects the shared AI quota. Summarizing, rewriting and creating each count as one request. When the limit is reached, Ølav tells you honestly and you can continue the next day or on a higher plan.

Privacy

Requests to Ølav are processed via Cerebras (model: gpt-oss-120b), with Groq as a fallback provider under load — both in the USA. The content of the current object is transmitted for the duration of the request and is not used for training. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing your browser storage.

Ølav is only available if the AI feature is enabled for the workspace. If the icon doesn’t appear, contact the workspace owner.
