All Element Types
The Board supports 17 different element types. Access them via the toolbar at the bottom of the canvas, by double-clicking (text card), or by dragging from the Media Library.
The default block. Free-standing text with adjustable font size (10–96 px) and color.
Edit: Double-click to open the text editor.
Resize: Drag the corners.
Image from the Media Library or via upload. Displays a preview on the canvas.
Features:
- Resize (drag corners)
- Replace image source (right-click → Replace image)
- Automatic color palette extraction — the dominant colors of the image are detected when inserted

Use case: Color palettes for shoots, looks, or brands directly on the moodboard.
Sticky Note
Section titled “Sticky Note”A sticky note card in 5 color variants (yellow, green, blue, pink, purple). Ideal for quick notes and annotations.
URL preview card with title, description, and favicon. Enter a URL — the content is loaded automatically.
Container
Section titled “Container”A transparent frame with a title for grouping elements. Drag a container over other elements to group them together.
Background color: Customizable (8 options).
Document
Section titled “Document”File attachment (PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Appears as a clickable document tile with a file type icon.
Add a video via the Video button in the toolbar — a window with two options opens:
- Link — embed a YouTube or Vimeo URL, playable directly on the canvas.
- From library — pick an uploaded video (e.g. an iPhone recording). It’s placed with a native player; double-click starts playback with controls.
Add audio via the Audio button in the toolbar — window with two options:
- Link — SoundCloud track, podcast link, or direct MP3 URL. SoundCloud shows a preview card; “Open player” activates the embedded player.
- From library — your own audio file (MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC) with a waveform indicator during playback.
Location (Scouting)
Section titled “Location (Scouting)”A location card with:
- Address search + geocoding
- Interactive map view
- Sun position times (sunrise, golden hour, sunset) for the location and the current date
- Notes field
- Photo gallery (link images from the Media Library)
Ideal for location scouting directly on the moodboard.
Database
Section titled “Database”An embedded database preview on the canvas. Shows the first rows of a table.
Agenda / Schedule
Section titled “Agenda / Schedule”A calendar event list with inline-editable events. Displays events by day.
A non-nestable container for grouping. Can be given a background color.
Freehand Drawing
Section titled “Freehand Drawing”Draw directly on the canvas with the pen tool. Switch to Draw mode (D).
Stroke width and color: Adjustable in the toolbar.
Light Diagram
Section titled “Light Diagram”Interactive SVG canvas for creating lighting setups directly on the board — identical to the Light Diagram block in Pages.
21 element types in 4 groups:
- Light — Softbox, Octabox, Umbrella, Ring Light, Strobe, LED Panel, Snoot, Fresnel, Beauty Dish, Reflector, Flag, Diffusion
- Natural light — Sun, Window, Overcast Sky
- Set — Person, Camera, Wall, Background, Table
- Text — Free-text label
Usage: Click the toolbar icon to add elements, drag to reposition, rotate with the blue handle or [/] keys, Fit button zooms to all elements.
Arrow / Connection Line
Section titled “Arrow / Connection Line”Connects two elements with a line. → Details on connection lines
Manipulating elements
Section titled “Manipulating elements”Resize
Section titled “Resize”Drag the corners or edges of an element.
Duplicate
Section titled “Duplicate”Right-click → Duplicate or ⌘D.
Delete
Section titled “Delete”Select an element → Delete / Backspace, or right-click → Delete.
Layer order (Z-order)
Section titled “Layer order (Z-order)”Right-click → Bring forward / Send backward / Bring to front / Send to back.
With multiple elements selected: the toolbar shows Align options (left, center, right, top, middle, bottom) and Distribute (equal spacing).
