All Element Types
The Board supports 20 different element types. Access them via the toolbar at the bottom of the canvas, by double-clicking (text card), or by dragging from the Media Library.
The default block. Free-standing text with adjustable font size (10–96 px) and color.
Edit: Double-click to open the text editor.
Resize: Drag the corners.
Image from the Media Library or via upload. Displays a preview on the canvas.
Features:
- Resize (drag corners)
- Replace image source (right-click → Replace image)
- Automatic color palette extraction: the dominant colors of the image are detected when inserted
- Location from photo: if a photo has a location (GPS in the image data), ”…” → Location from photo places a location card next to it, connected to the image. It shows the day and time the photo was taken, and the sun arc is set to that very moment.

Use case: Color palettes for shoots, looks, or brands directly on the moodboard.
Sticky Note
Section titled “Sticky Note”A sticky note card in 5 color variants (yellow, green, blue, pink, purple). Ideal for quick notes and annotations.
URL preview card with title, description, and favicon. Enter a URL and the content is loaded automatically.
Column
Section titled “Column”A stack of cards with a title, for example one column per scene in a storyboard. Drag cards in, reorder them by dragging, drag them out again.
- Title: double-click the column header, Enter confirms.
- The card count sits on the right of the header, next to the arrow that collapses the column.
- Stack as column: select several cards and choose Stack as column in the selection bar. They line up top to bottom in the order they had on the board.
- Background: without its own color it sits quietly in the board surface, light and dark; pick your own color in the inspector.
The column used to be called “Box”. Existing boxes are now columns.
Board (sub-board)
Section titled “Board (sub-board)”A board as a card on another board. Each level stays small and clear, for example an overview for a shoot with its own boards for idea, mood and shoot day.
- Click + → Board. A new board is created and you type its name right away.
- The card shows a small preview of its content and counts its cards.
- Double-click opens the sub-board. The path at the top shows where you are; click it to go back.
- Move a card inside: drag a card onto the board card. When a line appears around the board card, let go. Contents of a column move along; arrows only if both ends move.
- One level up: inside a sub-board, drag a card onto a parent board in the path at the top. The entry gets underlined; let go to move the card there.
Rename: select the card → Rename in the inspector. The sub-board also appears in the sidebar under its parent board.
Moving cards inside works with mouse, trackpad or finger. In a shared link, guests open sub-boards with a click on the card.
Structured text in a card: ideas, run of show, brief notes. You write plainly, the card sets it:

- Double-click to write, Esc or a click outside to finish.
- In a list, Enter continues with the next item; Enter on an empty item ends the list.
- Tick off tasks right in the finished note.
If you turn the board into a page, headings, lists and tasks become the matching blocks.
Checklist
Section titled “Checklist”A list to tick off, for example a shot list, packing list or prep list.
- Enter adds the next item, Backspace on an empty item removes it.
- Tab indents an item (sub-item), ⇧Tab outdents it.
- The title sits on top, the progress on the right, for example “2/5”.
- The card grows with its items and also works inside columns.
As a task: use the ”…” menu on an item to assign it to a person and set a due date. Both then sit quietly on the item (date, initials). Assigned items appear in My Tasks and under “Today” on the home page; all items appear in All Tasks. Tick one off there and it is done on the board too, and vice versa. The assignee gets a notification.
If you turn the board into a page, the items become to-dos.
Document
Section titled “Document”File attachment (PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Appears as a clickable document tile with a file type icon.
Add a video via the Video button in the toolbar. A window with two options opens:
- Link: embed a YouTube or Vimeo URL, playable directly on the canvas.
- From library: pick an uploaded video (e.g. an iPhone recording). It’s placed with a native player; double-click starts playback with controls.
Add audio via the Audio button in the toolbar. A window with two options opens:
- Link: SoundCloud track, podcast link, or direct MP3 URL. SoundCloud shows a preview card; “Open player” activates the embedded player.
- From library: your own audio file (MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC) with a waveform indicator during playback.
Location (Scouting)
Section titled “Location (Scouting)”A location card with:
- Address search + geocoding
- Interactive map view
- Light for the location: sunrise, sunset, golden and blue hour, as a list or sun arc, with a time slider and sun directions on the map. It is calculated for the card’s shoot date (otherwise today), all times in local time, plus the weather once the day is within forecast range
- Notes field
- Photo gallery (link images from the Media Library)
Ideal for location scouting directly on the moodboard. Address, details, contact, note and light are the same fields as on the location card in Pages, see Location.
Database
Section titled “Database”An embedded database preview on the canvas. Shows the first rows of a table.
Agenda / Schedule
Section titled “Agenda / Schedule”A calendar event list with inline-editable events. Displays events by day.
A non-nestable container for grouping. Can be given a background color.
Freehand Drawing
Section titled “Freehand Drawing”Draw directly on the canvas with the pen tool. Switch to Draw mode (D).
Stroke width and color: Adjustable in the toolbar.
Light Diagram
Section titled “Light Diagram”The light diagram on the board is the same as the light diagram block in Pages: lights, modifiers, set and camera at real size, light map, inspector, 3D view and rendering. On a board the diagram fills the card.
Add elements via the ”+” at the bottom right of the drawing (a ring with the groups light, shapes, rigging, nature, set, text), or by double-clicking or long-pressing the spot where you want them.
The view (top view or 3D) and the rotated 3D perspective are saved with the diagram. They no longer jump back to the default when you deselect the card.
Arrow / Connection Line
Section titled “Arrow / Connection Line”Connects two elements with a line. → Details on connection lines
Page card
Section titled “Page card”Links a Pachurros page directly onto the board. The card shows the page’s title and icon and, if available, a cover preview. Clicking it opens the linked page.
Gallery
Section titled “Gallery”An image-gallery card holding several images in one element. Three display modes: carousel (browse), grid (tiles side by side) and stack (overlaid). Ideal for image series and references.
A geometric shape: rectangle, ellipse, line, diamond or arrow. With adjustable fill color, stroke color and width, plus optional text inside the shape. Great for structuring and highlighting on the canvas.
Embeds external content by URL as an iframe (e.g. embedded web tools or previews). The generic embed type for when no specialized element (Video, Link, Audio) fits.
Manipulating elements
Section titled “Manipulating elements”Resize
Section titled “Resize”Drag the corners or edges of an element.
Fit height to content
Section titled “Fit height to content”Text, sticky note, location, agenda/schedule, link and document can fit their height to their content: long text is no longer cut off, the card grows with it. New text, note and location cards start this way, including those created by Ølav or the AI import.
To switch it on or off: select the element → in the bar above it, More actions → Fit height to content. If you drag the height by hand, fitting switches off.
Copy and paste
Section titled “Copy and paste”⌘C copies the selected cards, ⌘X cuts them, ⌘V pastes them, also into another board or browser tab. Column contents and arrows between copied cards come along. Pasted into other apps, you get the cards’ text.
Tidy up
Section titled “Tidy up”Select several cards → Tidy up in the bar: As grid, Side by side, Stacked or Sort by colour. By colour sorts colour swatches, sticky notes, shapes and images (by their strongest colour) around the colour wheel. The selection stays where it was; ⌘Z undoes it.
Duplicate
Section titled “Duplicate”Right-click → Duplicate or ⌘D.
Delete
Section titled “Delete”Select an element → Delete / Backspace, or right-click → Delete.
Layer order (Z-order)
Section titled “Layer order (Z-order)”Right-click → Bring forward / Send backward / Bring to front / Send to back.
With multiple elements selected: the toolbar shows Align options (left, center, right, top, middle, bottom) and Distribute (equal spacing).
