Table View
The table view is the default view of a database. It displays all columns and rows in a compact grid, ideal for quick data entry and a complete overview.
Edit cells directly
Section titled “Edit cells directly”Double-click a cell (or click once then press Enter) to enter edit mode.
- Tab: next cell
- ⇧Tab: previous cell
- Arrow keys: neighbouring cell
- Esc: cancel editing
The table scrolls along: the selected cell stays visible, below the fixed header row and sideways too. This keeps even very large tables with many thousands of rows easy to work with, see Large tables.
Add a row
Section titled “Add a row”Click + New Row at the bottom of the table. Alternatively, click the + icon at the end of a row.
Open a row
Section titled “Open a row”Click the Open icon (arrow) on the left edge of a row to see the full detail view.
Reorder columns
Section titled “Reorder columns”Click a column header and drag it to the desired position.
Resize columns
Section titled “Resize columns”Drag the right edge of a column header to adjust its width.
Column header menu
Section titled “Column header menu”Click a column header to:
- Rename the column
- Change the column type
- Sort the column
- Hide the column
- Delete the column
Row aggregations (footer)
Section titled “Row aggregations (footer)”At the bottom of the table you can enable an aggregation per column: the calculation runs across all visible (filtered) rows:

Restoring a view after reload
Section titled “Restoring a view after reload”The active view is automatically saved as a ?view=ID parameter in the URL. A page reload or sharing the link opens the exact same view, not the base table.
